A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION AND
SALARY RANGE FOR REPROGRAPHICS COORDINATOR
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Commission has reviewed and approved the
classification specification for Reprographics Coordinator.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the classification specification for Reprographics Coordinator
(Exhibit 1) is hereby adopted and the Fun -Time Employee Salary
Schedule (Exhibit 2) is amended to include the Reprographics Coordinator
position title and salary range.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and
adoption.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 3d day of May, 2016.

Position Title: Reprographics Coordinator

Job Summary
Under general supervision, coordinates and executes the reproduction of printed and typewritten
documents and materials for city-wide departments and operations utilizing one -color and color
copiers and other related print shop equipment, performs general maintenance on print shop
equipment; keeps inventory and supplies for general print shop operations; maintains records and
files of completed jobs; participates in the processing, distribution, and shipment of the City's
incoming and outgoing mail; and performs related duties as required.
Essential Functions
1. Operates one -color and color copiers to produce a variety of printed materials such as
bulletins, reports, memos, manuals, booklets, forms, and other documents.
2. Operates a variety of equipment including the following: folder/perforator, paper cutter,
paper drill, binding punches, collator, stapler, padding and wrapping machine, laminator
and other related print shop equipment.
3. Assigns work to Reprographics staff, coordinates the scheduling and completion of work by
determining priorities and resolving workload problems, inspects work for accuracy and
completeness, and evaluates work techniques and methods for conformance to established
work standards.
4. Coordinates regular service and repairs of copying equipment.
5. Regularly cleans, maintains, adjusts and makes minor repairs to machines and equipment.
6. Assists in the preparation of or may prepare graphics for flyers, and other documents.
7. Maintains inventory of supplies and materials; ensures inventory is adequate to cover
scheduled jobs; requests additional supplies and materials as necessary.
8. Logs in printing requests, maintains records of department printing orders, and schedules
jobs.
9. Collects regular meter readings from copiers and forwards readings to leasing company.

10. Advises, assists and makes recommendations to other department staff in matters
regarding layout size, stock type, and other copying materials.
11. Participates in the collection and distribution of City mail; sorts, weighs, classifies, and
meters out -going mail; receives and delivers mail and parcels; maintains mail distribution
records according to established procedures.
12. Works independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Must have a thorough knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance requirements of copier
equipment, including paper cutters, drills, binding, and other auxiliary equipment; must know the
correct application of papers and other materials and supplies used in the reprographics process;
must know related computer software applications, basic math and record keeping practices used
for copying operations.
Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in the reproduction of one -color and multicolor materials using
copier equipment; experience preparing materials using graphics software is required.
Physical Requirements
This position also requires extensive and repetitive physical activity involving the arms, wrists, and
hands, including writing and using a keyboard. It also requires physical abilities associated with
the ability to read, write and communicate in a work environment requiring no extraordinary
physical strength or other special physical qualifications. Must be able to perform moderate
manual work including lifting items over 50 pounds; read small and large print; bend and stoop;
and make adjustments to equipment.
Licenses/Certificates
A valid California Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record are required.
