Resolution - 2014-35RESOLUTION NO.2014-35 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING THE COMPENSATION OF CLASSIFICATONS WITHIN THE LIMITED SERVICE CLASSIFICATIONS AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER 2006-98 WHEREAS, the State minimum wage has been increased to $9.00 per hour effective July 1, 2014; and WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is required to comply with such law by ensuring City employees are paid at the level established; and WHEREAS, the State minimum wage impacts the current starting hourly wage for the classifications of Crossing Guard, Food Service Worker, Office Aide I and Recreation Assistant; and WHEREAS, the positions of Office Aide II, Office Aide III and Recreation Leader are impacted by the minimum wage due to compaction within each series. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Resolution Number 2006-98 is hereby amended by this Resolution. SECTION 2. That the hourly wage range for the classes is hereby established as listed on Appendix A. lJI{j[1 SECTION 3. The effective date of this limited service hourly rate adjustment is July 1, SECTION 4.
