A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS THROUGH THE
OLDER AMERICANS ACT TITLE III C-1 IN THE AMOUNT OF
$677,584 TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF WEST COVINA'S ELDERLY
NUTRITION PROGRAM AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER
OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO
CONTRACT NUMBER ENP-1216-018 BETWEEN THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA AND THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY AND
SENIOR SERVICES
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Community and Senior Services
has been charged with the task of providing services to the elderly under Title III C-1 of the
Older Americans Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has requested and been awarded grant funds under
this legislation; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of West Covina authorize a representative to
transact all contracts with the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina resolves as follows:
SECTION I. Accept $677;584 in grant funds through the Older Americans Act Title III
C-1 through the County of Los Angeles Community and Senior Services.
SECTION II. Designate the City Manager, or in his absence, the Community Services
Director, to execute all documents related to Contract Number ENP-1216-018 between the City
of West Covina and the County of Los Angeles Community and Senior Services.
SECTION III. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
