A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION FOR A
COMPASS BLUEPRINT DEMONSTRATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina encourages sustainable development within its
incorporated boundaries and its growth areas; and
WHEREAS, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) offers
planning services in support of sustainable growth strategies; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina desires to submit an application under the Compass
Blueprint Demonstration Project to assist the City in updating its General Plan to address long-
term planning to become a more sustainable community.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of West Covina does support the submittal of a
Compass Blueprint funding application with the Southern California Associations
of Governments (SCAG).
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized to sign all documents relating to the submittal
of this application.
SECTION 3
That the Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
