A RESOLUTION, OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZING THE GENERAL
EMPLOYEE BARGAINING UNIT
, WHEREAS, Sections 2-212 through 2-217 of the West Covina Municipal Code describe
the method by which employee organizations are recognized;
WHEREAS, the General Employee Bargaining Unit has complied with the'required
procedures and filed a de -certification petition with the Public Employment Relations Board
(PERB) to break away from the San Bernardino Public Employee Association for representation
purposes;
WHEREAS, PERB conducted a vote of all bargaining unit members and has certified
that the West Covina General Employee Bargaining Unit is the exclusive representative of all
employees in the unit;
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Commission has approved the request for recognition
by the General Employee Bargaining Unit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of West. Covina
does resolve, determine and order the official recognition of the General Employee Bargaining
Unit.
