A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2006-90
RELATING TO MEETING TIMES AND PLACES OF CITY BOARDS
AND COMMISSIONS TO CHANGE THE MEETING TIME OF THE
COMMUNITY and SENIOR SERVICES COMMISSION TO 6:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2006-90, adopted on November 7, 2006, specified that the
Community Services Commission meetings would be held at 6:30 p.m.;
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2229 at their March 20, 2012, City
Council meeting to consolidated the Community Services and Senior Citizens Commissions into
the newly formed Community and Senior Services Commission;
WHEREAS, the Community and Senior Services Commission's duties, among others, is
to establish and maintain an open dialogue for input and discussion of Senior and Community
Services' issues, programs initiated by the City of West Covina Community Services
Department, and to secure the support of the public for appropriate Community Services' events;
WHEREAS, on May 8, 2012, the Community and Senior Services Commission voted to
recommend to the City Council that it approve a modification of the meeting time to 6:00 p.m.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve that
Resolution No. 2006-90, relating to meeting time of the Community and Senior Services
Commission, is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 1. Community and Senior Services Commission meetings shall commence at
6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every other month, beginning with the July 2012
Commission meeting.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify as to the passage of this Resolution.
