A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO
ADMINISTRATIVELY IMPLEMENT THE PERS MEDICAL
RETIREMENT CONDITIONS AS STATED IN THE CITY MANAGER'S
• CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22825.6 provides that a local employer contracting
under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act shall fix the amount of the employer's
contribution at an amount not less than the amount required under Section 22825 of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is a local agency contracting under the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve that City staff shall
have the authority to implement and/or process the PERS medical retirement language in the City
Manager's contract.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution.
