A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2003-99, RELATING TO
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR THE SAN
BERNARDINO PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
(SBPEA) — GENERAL EMPLOYEES; APPROVING THE
REVISED SALARY RANGE FOR THE COOK POSITION
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina establishes salary ranges deemed appropriate as a
means to attract and retain qualified executives, remain competitive in the labor market, and
prevent salary compression with employees they supervise.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve that
Resolution No. 2003-99 relating to compensation and benefits for the SBPEA General
employees is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 1. That the proposed revised salary range for the Cook classification is
hereby adopted:
Classification Ranee Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5
Cook GN350 $3,026 $3,178 $3,337 $3,502 $3,678
SECTION 2. That Resolution No. 2003-99 as amended, relating to classification and
compensation of positions is hereby further amended by this Resolution.
SECTION 3. The effective date of this Resolution is November 7, 2006.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED on this 7`h day of November 2006.
