A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5682
RELATING TO MEETING TIMES AND PLACES OF CITY BOARDS
AND COMMISSIONS TO CHANGE THE MEETING TIME OF THE
COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION TO 6:30 P.M.
•WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5682, adopted on April 24, 1978 specifies that the meetings
of all City boards and commissions created by ordinance or resolution shall commence at 7:30
p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Community Services Commission's duties, among others, is to establish
and maintain an open dialogue for input and discussion of Community Services' issues and
programs initiated by the City of West Covina, and to secure the support of the public for
appropriate Community Services' events; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Community Services Commission to allow the public
to participate in the matters pertaining to the Commission; and
WHEREAS, on October 10, 2006 the Community Services Commission voted
unanimously to recommend to the City Council that it approve a modification of the meeting
time to 6:30 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby amend Resolution No. 5682 as follows:
SECTION 1. Commencing with the regular Community Services Commission meeting
of December 12, 2006, the regular meetings of the Community Services Commission shall
commence at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month in the Management Resource
Center at West Covina City Hall.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify as to the passage of this Resolution.
