A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 2002-113 (FIRE
SAFETY) AND 2003-43 (POLICE SAFETY), FIXING THE EMPLOYER'S
CONTRIBUTION UNDER THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' MEDICAL AND
HOSPITAL CARE ACT
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22825.E provides that a local employer contracting
• under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act shall fix the amount of the employer's
contribution at an amount not less than the amount required under Section 22825 of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is a local agency contracting under the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve that the
employer's contribution for each employee or annuitant shall be the amount necessary to pay the
cost of his/her enrollment, including the enrollment of family members, in a health benefits plan up
to a maximum of:

Plus administrative fees and Contingency Fund Assessments.
The effective date of this Resolution is November 15, 2005. The PERS effective date of the
change to the Retiree Health Benefit contributions is January 1, 2006.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
