A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING, RESOLUTION NO. 2001-149
RELATING TO STIPENDS AND BENEFITS OF NON -ELECTED CITY
COMMISSIONS
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina provides stipends and certain benefits to members
• of City non -elected City Commissions; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has examined the stipends and certain benefits
provided to the Commissions in other cities; and
WHEREAS, the stipends and the benefits have been deemed appropriate as a means to
recognize the significant amount of time required to serve as a member of an appointed body.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California, does
resolve that Resolution No. 2001-14, relating to stipends and certain benefits of non -elected City
Commissions, is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 1. The monthly stipend for serving in City non -elected commissions is
hereby amended as follows:
i. The Planning Commission stipend shall be changed from $100 to $150 per month; and
ii. The Community Services Commission stipend shall be changed from $50 to $100 per month;
and
iii. The Senior Citizen Commission stipend shall be changed from $50 to $100 per month; and
iv. The Human Resources Commission stipend shall be changed form $50 to $100 per month.
SECTION 2. That Resolution No. 2001-14, as amended, relating to non -elected City
Commission stipends and benefits is hereby further amended by this Resolution.
SECTION 3. The effective date of this Resolution is November 2, 2004.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
