A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2002-24
RELATING TO STIPENDS AND BENEFITS OF THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
• WHEREAS, the City of West Covina provides stipends and benefits to its members
when serving as the Community Development Commission (CDC); and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has examined the stipends and benefits provided to
the CDC's in other cities and the CDC of West Covina compensation is vastly below the market
survey; and
WHEREAS, the stipends and the benefits have been deemed appropriate as a means to
recognize the significant amount of time required to serve as a member of an elected body.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California, does
resolve that Resolution No. 2002-24, relating to stipends and benefits of the CDC, is hereby
amended as follows:
SECTION 1. The stipend for the CDC shall be changed to $1200 per member per
month.
SECTION 2. That Resolution No. 2002-24, as amended, relating to CDC stipends and
benefits is hereby further amended by this Resolution. Except as otherwise provided in this
Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution No. 2002-24 and any amendments thereto shall
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. The effective date of this Resolution is November 2, 2004.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
