A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A GRANT OF EASEMENT IN
FAVOR OF GTE CALIFORNIA INCORPORATED.
isThe City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby find and
determine that the public convenience and necessity require that a Grant of Easement be
executed in favor of GTE California Incorporated for utility purposes over curtained City
owned property as described in the attached Exhibit "A" and by reference hereto made a
part hereof.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to
execute in the name of the City of West Covina a Grant of Easement, substantially in the
form attached, in favor of GTE California Incorporated for utility purposes.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

GRANT OF EASEMENT
THE GRANTOR, CITY OF WEST COVINA, A MUNICIPAL BODY, CORPORATE AND POLITIC,
hereby grants to GTE CALIFORNIA INCORPORATED, A CORPORATION, hereinafter referred to as
GRANTEE, its successors and assigns, an easement and right of way for the purposes of constructing, using,
maintaining, operating, altering, adding to, repairing, replacing, reconstructing, inspecting and/or removing its
facilities, consisting of but not limited to: underground conduits, manholes, handholes, amplifiers, pedestals,
cables, wires, above and below ground vaults and enclosures, concrete pads, markers and other appurtenances,
fixtures and/or facilities (hereinafter sometimes called "equipment") necessary or useful for the transmission of
electric energy for communications, telecommunications, interactive video, intelligence by electrical means
and/or other purposes on, over, in, under, across, and along that certain real property situated in the City of West
Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
A strip of land 5 feet in width within Lot 54 of Tract 33664, as per map recorded in Book 890, Pages 54
through 56, inclusive, of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County with its center line described
as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast comer of Lot 14 of said tract; thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said Lot, 2
feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence Easterly, North of the prolongation of the Southerly line of
Od Lot 14, 62 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the Southwest with a radius of 25 feet; thence 12 feet
theasterly along said curve to the Point of Termination.

The GRANTEE, its successors and assigns and their respective agents and employees, shall have the right of
ingress to and egress from said easement and every part thereof, at all times, for the purpose of exercising the
rights herein granted and shall have the right to remove such growth as may endanger or interfere with the use of
said easement. Such rights shall be reasonably exercised and the Grantee shall be liable for any damage
negligently done by it to the above -described property.
