A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9346,
RELATING TO MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION; AND RESOLUTION
NO. 7223, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND
COMPENSATION OF POSITIONS.
• WHEREAS, the City of West Covina provides salary adjustments deemed
appropriate to attract and retain qualified executives; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has examined the adjustments provided to
other represented groups of City employees; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has determined that the contributions of
Department Heads warrant recognition in relation to the represented employees as regards cost
of living increases; and
WHEREAS, cost of living salary adjustments for those Department Heads and
the City Manager have been deemed appropriate as a means to attract and retain executive
managers, remain competitive in the market, and prevent salary compression with employees
they supervise.
as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 9346, relating to management salaries, are
hereby amended by Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, effective June 27, 1998.
SECTION 2. That the remaining provisions of Resolution 7223, as amended,
shall remain in full force and effect . until amended as repealed by Resolution of the City
Council.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the ad#tion of this Resolution.
