RESOLUTION NO. 9654
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS THROUGH THE
METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR
THE 1999 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has been charged with the
task of securing effective transportation services; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina seeks to request funds under the 1999
Transportation Improvement Program for various projects; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of West Covina authorize a
representative to transact all contracts and application materials with MTA on behalf of
the City of West Covina and the Public Services Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby resolves
as follows:
SECTION 1. That it approves the filing of applications for funds through .the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
SECTION 2. That it designates the City Manager, or in his absence, the Public
Services Director, to sign all contracts and documents necessary to accompany the
applications,. including any amendments.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of/this Resolution.
