RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
_ COVINA APPROVING THE NEW ABANDONED/STORED VEHICLE
• RELEASE FEE
WHEREAS, West Covina Municipal Code Section 2-409 (a) directs Department
Heads and the Finance Director, under direction from the City Manager, to review fees
and service charges and to provide an adjusted fee or charge schedule to the City Council
for its consideration so as to recover the listed percentage of costs reasonably borne
necessary to provide the service; and
WHEREAS, fee 5-073 (the Stored/Abandoned Vehicle Release fee) must recover
100% of the reasonably borne costs, as listed in the West Covina Municipal Code Section
2-409;and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the West Covina Municipal Code Section 2-409 (b), the
City Council must adopt fee changes by a Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the costs reasonably borne under the Stored/Abandoned Vehicle
Release fee have been determined to be an estimated $90 per vehicle; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the West Covina Municipal Code Section 2-409 (c), fee
changes adopted by the City Council by Resolution must take effect .the date of the
adoption;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina resolves as
follows:
SECTION 1. Adopts the new Stored/Abandoned Vehicle Release Fee (5-073) of
