A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION
THROUGH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR
THE EXTENSION OF THE WEST COVINA SHUTTLE.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has been charged with
the task of securing effective transportation services; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina seeks to request funds under the
Transportation Demand Management category and the Transit Capital category for the
purposes of a shuttle extension; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of West Covina authorize a
representative to transact all contracts and application materials with MTA on behalf of
the City of West Covina and the Community Services Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina resolves as
follows:
SECTION I. Approve the filing of an application for funds through the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
SECTION 11. Designate the City Manager, or in his absence, the Community
Services Director, to sign all contracts and documents necessary to accompany the
application, including any amendments.
SECTION IH. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
