A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, IN SUPPORT
OF COUNCILMEMBER MICHAEL TOUHEY'S
CANDIDACY TO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE
• SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT
DISTRICT, REPRESENTING THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY CITIES, EASTERN REGION.
WHEREAS, The Southern Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is lead by a 12
member Governing Board comprising of nine elected officials and three individuals appointed by
State officials; and
WHEREAS, the Board Member representing cities within the eastern region of Los Angeles
County has resigned from the Board; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Michael Touhey has announced his candidacy for the SCAQMD
Governing Board seat representing cities within the eastern region of Los Angeles County.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby
supports Councilmember Michael Touhey's candidacy for the SCAQMD Governing Board seat
representing cities within the eastern region of Los Angeles County.
