RESOLUTION NO. 9598 - A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE
SALARY STRUCTURE FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
REPRSENTED BY SEIU LOCAL 347 AND THE
PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS ASSOCIATION
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-99.
WHEREAS, Memorandums of Understanding have been entered into for the three-
year period expiring June 30, 2000; and
WHEREAS, salary increases have been agreed upon for fiscal year 1998-99 as part
of said Memorandum of Understanding;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Salary. That effective June 27, 1998, Exhibit C of Resolution No.
9462 relating to salary structure for employees represented by the Public Safety Dispatchers
Association, and Exhibit D of Resolution No 9462 relating to salary structure for employees
represented by SEIU Local 347 are hereby amended by Exhibits "A" and "B" of this resolution and
Resolution No. 7223 relating to classification and compensation of positions is hereby amended.
SECTION 2. The remaining portions of Resolutions No.7223 and 9352 as
amended, shall remain in full force and effect until amended or repealed by Resolution of the City
Council.
SECTION 3. Budget allocation. The City Council does hereby appropriate an
amount of money sufficient to fund these salary adjustments for the life of this resolution.
SECTION 4. The effective date of this resolution is June 27, 1998.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
