RESOLUTION NO. 9588
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, VACATING AND ABANDONING
PORTIONS OF A STREET WHICH ARE EXCESS RIGHT-OF-WAY
(GLENDORA AVENUE).
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has physically reduced the width of portions
of Glendora Avenue adjacent to the Edwards Entertainment Center; and
WHEREAS, there are now four areas of excess right-of-way along the above -
mentioned Glendora Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the excess right-of-way of Glendora Avenue is not required for
street and highway purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Chapter 4 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby finds and determines that
those portions of Glendora Avenue as described in Exhibits A through H are excess
right-of-way.
SECTION 2. An easement for water line purposes contained within the excess
right-of-way as described in Exhibits I and J shall be retained by the City of West
Covina.
SECTION 3. Effective upon the date of recordation of this Resolution, those
portions of existing Glendora Avenue described in Section 1 hereof are hereby
summarily vacated and abandoned and no longer constitute a street.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and
shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of said County.
