RESOLUTION NO. 9582
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, CREATING UNDERGROUND UTILITY
DISTRICT NO. 6 (CAMERON AVENUE).
The City Council of the City of West Covina California does hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Engineer having filed his report with the City Council
recommending the formation of Underground Utility District No. 6 and the City Council,
upon notice given as required by law, having held a public hearing upon the formation of
said district, hereby finds that the public necessity, health and welfare requires the
removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the
underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication or
similar or associated services within the territory included in Underground Utility District
No. 6 as hereinafter described.
SECTION 2. Underground Utility District No. 6 is hereby formed and created
consisting of that territory included within the following described boundaries:

SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds that a reasonable time within
which to remove poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the
underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication or
similar or associated services within Underground Utility District No. 6 is December 31,
1999, for Phase I and December 31, 2005 for Phase II. All such overhead serviced
affected property owners shall be ready to receive underground service prior to those
dates.
SECTION. 4. Within ten days after the date of the adoption of this
Resolution, the. City Clerk shall notify all utilities having lines or facilities within
Underground Utility District No. 6 and all persons owning real property required to convert
their electrical and/or communication facilities for underground service. Notification shall
be made by mailing a copy of this Resolution, a copy of Article V of Chapter 23 of the
West Covina Municipal Code together with a statement that if the owner or occupant of
property affected by the district desires to continue to receive electric, communication or
similar or associated service, it will be necessary to provide those facility changes on the
premises required to receive such service from the lines of the supplying utility or utilities
at a new underground location. The City shall fund the cost necessary for the conversion
of services for single family residences.

State of California, as existed on June 16, 1998, bounded as follows:
PHASE
CAMERON AVENUE
Bounded westerly by the westerly line of Pacific Avenue and bounded easterly by the
centerline Hollenbeck Street including utility easements adjacent and parallel thereto.
PHASE II
CAMERON AVENUE
Bonded westerly by the centerline of Hollenbeck Street, and bounded easterly by the
centerline of Grand Avenue including utility easements adjacent and parallel thereto.
