A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, VACATING AND ABANDONING
A PORTION OF A STREET WHICH IS EXCESS RIGHT-OF-WAY.
(GREEN RIDGE TERRACE)
WHEREAS, the hereafter described portion of Green Ridge Terrace
southeasterly of the end of the improved cul-de-sac constructed as part of Tract
No. 47809, is not, and will not be used for street and highway purposes..
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 8330 to 8340, inclusive, of the Streets
and Highway Code, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby finds and
determines that the portion of Green Ridge Terrace as described below is excess
right-of-way.
THAT PORTION OF GREEN RIDGE TERRACE, IN THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGLES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS SHOWN
ON TRACT NO. 42169 AND TRACT NO. 47809 FILED IN BOOK 990, PAGES 1
THROUGH 8, INCLUSIVE, AND BOOK 1219, PAGES 58 THROUGH 69,
INCLUSIVE, RESPECTIVELY, OF MAPS IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY
RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY, MORE PARTICULLARY DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWESTERLY CORNER OF LOT 31 OF SAID
TRACT NO. 42169; THENCE, SOUTH 040 00' 00" WEST 45.24 FEET ALONG
THE SOUTHWESTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 31 TO THE TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING: THENCE, CONTINUING ALONG SAID SOUTHWESTERLY LINE
SOUTH 040 00' OOA WEST 34.76 FEET TO THE SOUTHWESTERLY CORNER
OF SAID LOT 31; THENCE, NORTH 460 43' 14" WEST 12.40 FEET ALONG
THE NORTHEASTERLY LINE OF LOT 12 OF SAID TRACT 47809 TO THE
BEGINNING OF A NON -TANGENT CURVE CONCAVE NORTHWESTERLY
HAVING A RADIUS OF 42.50 FEET, TO WHICH A RADIAL LINE BEARS
SOUTH 460 43' 14" EAST; THENCE, NORTHEASTERLY 29.14 FEET
THROUGH A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 390 16' 46" TO THE TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. That portion of Green Ridge Terrace described in Section 1
hereof is hereby summarily vacated and abandoned.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County.
