A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE COLLECTION OF PARK
RESERVATION FEES BY THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT.
IsWHEREAS, the West Covina Community Services Department is implementing a
citywide park reservation system to improve customer and recreational services; and
WHEREAS, the park reservation system will provide space and opportunity for citizens
to plan recreational, social, cultural, educational, and civic activities; and
WHEREAS, the park reservation system will positively impact residents and community
groups through services unique to them; and
WHEREAS, contributions to public safety may be realized from this program; and
WHEREAS, the collection of fees are necessary to offset maintenance, supplies, and
staff costs incurred during the coordination of the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Community Services Department will designate the park sites
available for reserve.
SECTION 2: The collection of $25 for Resident; $40 for Non Resident; $75 for Non
Profit Resident and Commerical Resident; $125 for Non Profit Non Resident and
Commerical Non Resident; and a waiver for youth groups as provided by policy for park
reservations is hereby approved.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
