RESOLUTION NO. 9451
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A
PROPOSAL AND THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE
PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR ELDERLY PERSONS.
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Community and Senior Citizens
Services has been awarded the funds for providing services for the elderly under the 111 C-1
& C-2 Nutrition Services Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina wishes to apply for 111 C-1 Nutrition Services
Fund for social services, in order to administer said services; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that City of West Covina designate and authorize a
representative to sign the contract for 111 C-1 funds on behalf of the said West Covina Senior
Citizens Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. Approves the Submittal of a proposal for Title III C-1 funds to Los
Angeles County.
SECTION 2. Designates the Mayor or in his absence, the City Manager as the
authorized representative to sign the contract and all documents necessary to accompany said
contract, including all amendments within the fiscal year.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
