A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CITY ENGINEER TO
PREPARE AND FILE A REPORT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
• PROPOSITION 218 AND ARTICLE 4, CHAPTER 1, PART 2,
"LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972", BEING DIVISION 15,
STREETS AND HIGHWAY CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING CERTAIN LANDSCAPING, LIGHTING AND PARK
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE IN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, FOR THE SUBSEQUENT FISCAL YEARS
COMMENCING JULY 1, 1997.
WEST COVINA CITYWIDE LIGHTING AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, this Resolution shall replace Resolution No. 9425 adopted on March
18, 1997
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California proposes to
levy and confirm an assessment pursuant to Proposition 218 and the "Landscaping and
Lighting Act of 1972", being Division 15, Part 2, of the Street and Highway Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that said Maintenance District shall operate and
maintain certain public lighting, landscaping and park facilities that exist throughout the
City located on property owned by the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Engineer shall retain a Registered Engineer certified
by the State of California shall prepare and file an Engineer's Report in accordance with Propa slt,�
Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2, "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972" being Division 15, ai
Chapter 2 of the Street and Highway Code of the State of California, for the
maintenance and operation of lighting, landscaping and park facilities, for subsequent
fiscal years.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
