Resolution - 9393• RESOLUTION NO. 9393 CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, FIIONG THE COMPENSATION OF CLASSIFICATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA LIMITED SERVICE CLASSIFICATIONS, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NOS. 9016 AND 8642. WHEREAS, the City has completed a market survey of Limited Service classifications; and WHEREAS, the market survey indicates a need for salary adjustments; and WHEREAS, the City desires to compensate employees at a level comparable to the federal minimum wage; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Resolution Nos. 9016 and 8642 are hereby rescinded and superseded by this Resolution. SECTION 2. That the hourly wage rates for the following Limited Service classes are hereby established pursuant to Appendix "A" of this Resolution: Clerk Aide I Clerk Aide II Clerk Aide III Crossing Guard Reserve Police Officer Reserve Police Sergeant Reserve Police Lieutenant Reserve Police Captain Programmer Analyst/Contract Services Engineering Trainee Engineering Aide Administrative Intern Planning Intern Maintenance Assistant Day Care Director Day Care Teacher Recreation Site Coordinator Recreation Leader Recreation Assistant Nutrition Specialist Lifeguard/Instructor Swimming Pool Cashier Pool Manager Assistant Pool Manager Offset Equipment Operator Trainee Cable Production Assistant Food Service Worker SECTION 3. Budget Allocation. That the City Council does hereby allocate an amount of money sufficient to fund the salary adjustments for the life of this Resolution. SECTION 4. The effective date of this Resolution is November 16, 1996. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 1996.
