RESOLUTION NO. 9391
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA SPECIFYING PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
FOR THE CITY OWNED PUBLIC PARKING LOT EASTERLY OF
GLENDORA AVENUE BETWEEN WALNUT CREEK PARKING
AND DALEWOOD STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has been requested to restrict the
parking in the City owned parking lot easterly of Glendora Avenue between Walnut
Creek Parkway and Dalewood Street; and
WHEREAS, the immediate concern is during construction of on -site
facilities westerly of Glendora Avenue, which construction should be completed no later
than February 1997; and
WHEREAS, an opinion survey of the businesses adjacent easterly of the
parking lot reveals a majority desires a two hour parking restriction with permit for.
longer parking; now
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby
resolves: that parking within the City owned parking lot easterly of Glendora Avenue
between Walnut Creek Parkway and Dalewood Street be limited to two hour parking
with free permits being issued to provide for longer than two hour parking.
2. That signs shall be installed indicating this parking restriction and
said restrictions shall be effective thereafter.
3. That the parking conditions will be re-evaluated after completion of
on -site construction westerly of Glendora Avenue.
4. That the City Council may revise the parking restrictions following
said re-evaluation.
5. That the City Clerk shall certifiy the adoption of this resolution.
