Resolution - 9177RESOLUTION NO. 9177 RESOLUTION NO. 9177 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE AND FILE A REPORT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 4, CHAPTER 1, PART 2, "LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972", BEING DIVISION 15, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ORDERING CERTAIN LIGHTING FIXTURES, TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND APPURTENANCES TO BE INSTALLED, ELECTRICAL ENERGY AND MAINTENANCE TO BE FURNISHED FOR ALL LIGHTS AND TRAFFIC SIGNALS THROUGHOUT THE CITY, AND FOR THE FURNISHING OF LANDSCAPING AND PARK MAINTENANCE APPURTENANCES AND APPURTENANT WORK IN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1995 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1996. WEST COVINA LIGHTING AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1995-1996 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California, proposes to levy an annual assessment pursuant to the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972", being Division 15, Part 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, it is proposed that,said Maintenance District shall maintain certain public lighting, traffic signals and appurtenant facilities that exist and shall maintain certain landscaping, parks and appurtenant facilities that exist throughout the City located on property owned by the City and/or under the control of the City via easements and/or leases, and WHEREAS, it is proposed that said Maintenance District shall continue the ongoing "Urban Forestation Program", shall continue the ongoing program to upgrade street lighting in conjunction with private developments, and shall continue curb and gutter and sidewalk repair program. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby resolve; as follows: SECTION 1. That the City Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare and file a REPORT in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2, "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972", being Division 15, Part 2, Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, for the maintenance of lighting, traffic signals and appurtenant facilities, for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1995 and ending June 30, 1996, all as set forth in this resolution. SECTION 2. That a certified copy of this resolution be presented to said City Engineer for his information and guidance. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. • APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 1995.
