A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF A SEWER EASEMENT
WHICH HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED BY RELOCATION.
. (ZELMAN DEVELOPMENT COMPANY)
WHEREAS, the Zelman Development Company has requested the vacation of a
certain sanitary Sewer easement; and
WHEREAS, the sewer line has been relocated due to a structure built upon the
old alignment; and
WHEREAS, the relocated sewer line renders the sanitary sewer easement no
longer needed for sanitary sewer purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 1930 to 1934, inclusive, of the Streets and
Highways Code, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby finds and determines that
the following described easement has been superseded by relocation:
THAT CERTAIN 10.00 FOOT WIDE SEWER EASEMENT
GRANTED TO THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AS SHOWN ON
PARCEL 1 OF PARCEL MAP NO. 20049 IN THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, AS PER MAP FILED IN BOOK 217, PAGES 5
AND .6 OF PARCEL MAPS, ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF
THE COUNTY RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY, BEING A
STRIP OF LAND 10.00 FEET WIDE, THE CENTERLINE IS
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT A POINT IN THE WESTERLY LINE OF
SAID PARCEL 1, DISTANT THEREON SOUTH 4°48'54"
WEST, 5.97 FEET FROM THE . MOST NORTHERLY
TERMINUS OF THAT CERTAIN COURSE IN SAID
WESTERLY LINE,, HAVING A BEARING OF NORTH
4°48'54" EAST, AND DISTANCE 227.67 FEET; THENCE
NORTH 67051'45" EAST, 19.94 FEET TO THE BEGINNING
OF A TANGENT CURVE, CONCAVE NORTHWESTERLY
AND HAVING A RADIUS OF 200.00 FEET; THENCE
NORTHWESTERLY ALONG SAID CURVE, THROUGH A
CENTRAL ANGLE OF 20051'45", AN ARC LENGTH OF 72.82
FEET; THENCE, TANGENT TO SAID CURVE NORTH
47°00'00" EAST, 275.83 FEET TO A POINT IN THE
NORTHEASTERLY LINE OF SAID PARCEL 1, HAVING A
.BEARING OF NORTH 45020'00" WEST, AND DISTANCE
353.37 FEET, DISTANT THEREON, SOUTH 45°20'00" EAST,
8.53 FEET FROM THE MOST NORTHERLY CORNER OF
SAID PARCEL 1.
THE SIDELINES OF SAID STRIP TO BE LENGTHENED OR
SHORTENED TO FORM A CONTINUOUS STRIP.
SECTION 2. That sanitary sewer easement described in Section 1. is hereby
summarily vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County.
