Resolution - 9129J RESOLUTION NO. 9129 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 8781, 8906, AND 6482, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES; AND RESOLUTION NO. 7223, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION OF POSITIONS; AND RESOLUTION NO. 6437, AS AMENDED, • RELATING TO MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL PRODUCTIVITY COMPENSATION PLAN. WHEREAS, the City of West Covina provides salary adjustments deemed appropriate to Management and Confidential employees who are unrepresented; and WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has examined the adjustments provided to other represented groups of City employees; and WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has determined that the contributions of certain Confidential and Mid -Management employees warrant recognition in relation to the represented employees; and WHEREAS, salary adjustments for those Confidential and Mid -Management employees have been deemed appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Exhibit "A" of Resolution 8781, as amended, relating to Confidential salaries, and that Exhibit "A" of Resolution No. 8906, as amended, relating to management salaries, are hereby amended by Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, effective September 10, 1994. SECTION 2. That the remaining provisions of Resolutions 8781, 8906 and 7223, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect until amended as repealed by Resolution of the City Council. SECTION 3. That Resolution 6437, Section 2132, as amended, relating to a Management and Confidential Productivity - Compensation Plan, be amended to read as follows: "All Management and Confidential classes shall have a salary range titled A. Employees whose salaries currently exceed the salary for their classification as shown on Exhibit "A" shall remain at their current salary until such a time as the A range exceeds their salary. SECTION 4. That the remaining provisions of Resolution 6437, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect until amended or replaced by Resolution of the City Council. SECTIONS. That Section 2 of Resolution No. 6482, as amended, relating to Management and Confidential Services, is hereby rescinded. SECTION 6. That the remaining provisions of Resolution No. 6482, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect until amended or replaced by Resolution of the City Council. SECTION 7. That the effective date of this Resolution is September 10, 1994. SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. .-0 APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of September, 1994.
