RESOLUTION NO. 9112
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
BEGINNING CASH BALANCE WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND
TO THE CONTINGENCY FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina ("City")
proposes to transfer certain funds currently on deposit within its
General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to restrict the use of such funds so
that disbursements from such account will not be considered
appropriations subject to limitations pursuant to Article XIIIB of
the State Constitution;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City does hereby find, determine, declare
and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City hereby authorizes the transfer of the
total beginning cash balance within the General Fund to the
Contingency Fund effective July 1, 1994.
Section 2. Amounts transferred to the Contingency Fund may
not be withdrawn unless the City Council specifically approves such
release to pay identified expenditures.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of West Covina this 5th day of July, 1994, by
