A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8642,
FIXING THE COMPENSATION PAYABLE TO CLASSIFICATIONS
WITHIN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA'S LIMITED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the City maintains a Police Reserve Program
providing extensive police back up service to the Community; and
WHEREAS, reserve services are currently provided under a
combination of volunteer and paid hours; and
WHEREAS, a need exists to change the program compensation
plan to more closely coincide with Department of Labor
guidelines; and
WHEREAS, Reserve Officer hourly rates of pay need to be
adjusted to compensate for additional pay for all Reserves;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 8642 is hereby amended by
this resolution.
SECTION 2. That the hourly rates for the following Limited
Service classes are hereby revised as follows:

SECTION 3. The effective date of this resolution is
September 1, 1993.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
