• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND
SECURITY OF PARR -AND -RIDE PARKING SPACES IN THE CITY
OWNED CIVIC CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE, AND DESIGNATING
FUNDS THEREFOR .
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is the owner of a parking
structure located in the West Covina Civic Center adjacent to the
City Hall; and
WHEREAS, this parking structure has 136 parking spaces on its upper
level available for public parking; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina desires to designate 100 of these
parking spaces for park -and -ride use serving the Baldwin Park
Metrolink station; and
WHEREAS, such designation shall be for park -and -ride purposes for
a period of 10 years, and shall be based on the terms and
conditions set out below:
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. Designated Use of Parking Spaces
The designated 100 park -and -ride parking spaces
shall be used only for park -and -ride purposes, in a
manner consistent with any and all applicable laws
and regulations. This designation shall be
effective at all times the Baldwin Park Metrolink
station and the West Covina Shuttle service is in
operation.
SECTION 2. Term
This designation shall be for ten (10) years from
the date of this Resolution, and may be extended by
the West Covina City Council.
SECTION 3. Cost of Maintenance
The City of West Covina, as part of its annual
budgetary process, will use its best efforts to
allocate $50,000 annually for the maintenance,
upkeep, utilities, security, and repayment costs
associated with the designated parking spaces.
• This amount shall be dedicated for such uses and is
the reasonable annual cost thereof. The annual
cost may be adjusted by the City Council of West
Covina.

Sianage
The City of West Covina shall provide and maintain
an appropriate level of signage to inform the
general public of the location of the designated
park -and -ride parking spaces, the point of boarding
the Shuttle service, and departure times from the
Shuttle stops.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 15th day of June ,
1993.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by
the City Council of West Covina at a regular meeting thereof held
on the isth day of June, 1993, by the following vote of the City
Council:
