RESOLUTION NO. 8945
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 8290 AND SETTING NEW FEES IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE PET LICENSE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the West Covina Municipal Code specifies that the fees paid in
relation to the issuance of dog, cat, and miniature pot-bellied pig licenses will be set
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the following fees do not exceed the reasonable cost of services for
those pets.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION NO. 1: The following fees are established by the City Council to be
collected annually:
Unaltered dog $20.00 ($15.00 for license period of 7/1/89
through 4/30/90)
Altered dog $10.00 07.5O for license period of 7/1/89
through 4/30/90►. Proof of sterility required.
Miniature Pot -Bellied Pig $5.00 (all pigs required to be sterile; proof of
sterility required.)
Transfer fee $5.00 (to process a valid license issued by
another jurisdiction to new residents).
Duplicate tag $2.00
Pro rating 1/2 price (effective six months after the
commencement of a new licensing period for
new dogs).
Penalty fee
50 %
SECTION NO. 2: Domestic cats may be voluntarily licensed for the same fees.
SECTION NO. 3: The effective date of the new fees is the same as the
effective date of Amendment No. 253.
SECTION NO. 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
