A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING STAFF TO NEGOTIATE
AND THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE/PURCHASE
AGREEMENT WITH LA SALLE NATIONAL BANK FOR THE
ACQUISITION AND FINANCING OF ONE FIRE PUMPER
TRUCK.
• At a duly called meeting of the governing body of the
City of West Covina held on the 2nd day of February, 1993, the
following resolution was introduced and adopted.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a true and
real need exists for the financing and acquisition of one fire
pumper truck in order to provide fires suppression services to its
citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken the necessary steps,
including any legal bidding requirements, under applicable law to
arrange for the financing and acquisition of such equipment by
lease/purchase agreement with La Salle National Bank;
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes City
staff to negotiate with La Salle National Bank for the lease
purchase agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney,
for the financing and acquisition of such truck, and the City
Council designates and confirms the Mayor to execute and deliver,
and the City Clerk to attest, respectively, to that lease purchase
agreement, and any related documents necessary to the consummation
of the transactions contemplated by that lease purchase agreement.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February,
1993.
