RESOLUTION NO. 8912 - A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CITY ENGINEER TO
isPREPARE AND FILE A REPORT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
ARTICLE 4, CHAPTER 1, PART 2, "LANDSCAPING AND
LIGHTING ACT OF 1972% BEING DIVISION 15, STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING CERTAIN LIGHTING
FIXTURES AND APPURTENANCES TO BE INSTALLED,
ELECTRICAL ENERGY AND MAINTENANCE TO BE
FURNISHED FOR ALL LIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE
CITY, AND FOR THE FURNISHING OF LANDSCAPING
MAINTENANCE, APPURTENANCES AND APPURTENANT
WORK, AND FOR THE PARK MAINTENANCE,
APPURTENANCES AND APPURTENANT WORK IN THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1993 AND ENDING JUNE
30, 1994.
WEST COVINA LIGHTING AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO, 1993-1994
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California,
proposes to levy an annual assessment pursuant to the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972", being Division 15, Part 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that said Maintenance District shall maintain
certain public lighting and appurtenant facilities that exist and shall maintain certain
landscaping and appurtenant facilities that exist throughout the City located on property
owned by the City and/or under the control of the City via easements, and that beginning
July 1, 1992 said Maintenance District shall maintain certain parks and appurtenant facilities
throughout the City located on property owned by the City and/or under the control of the
City via easements and/or leases, and that beginning July 1, 1993 said Maintenance District's
maintenance of public lighting facilities include traffic signals; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that said Maintenance District shall continue the
ongoing "Urban Forestation Program", shall continue the ongoing program to upgrade street
lighting in conjunction with private developments, and shall continue curb and gutter and
is sidewalk repair program.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does
hereby resolve, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare and file a
REPORT in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2, "Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972", being Division 15, Part 2, Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, for
the maintenance of lighting and appurtenant facilities, and maintenance of landscaping and
appurtenant facilities, and the maintenance of parks and appurtenant facilities for the fiscal
year commencing July 1, 1993 and ending June 30, 1994, all as set forth in this resolution.
SECTION 2. That a certified copy of this resolution be presented to said City
Engineer for his information and guidance.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
