RESOLUTION NO. 8897
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CONSUMPTION OF BEER AND WINE
BY THE MERCHANTS BUILDING MAINTENANCE COMPANY OF MONTEREY PARK
ON DECEMBER 5, 1992, AT THE SHADOW OAK COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the West Covina Shadow Oak Community Center is available for special
events and activities by community organizations, and
WHEREAS, the consumption of alcohol in public places is only permitted
by Resolution of the City Council (Ordinance No. 1770); and
WHEREAS, the Merchants Building Maintenance Company of Monterey Park has
requested permission to use the Shadow Oak Community Center and serve beer
and wine at their Christmas party;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The West Covina Shadow Oak Community Center will be reserved
for use by the Merchants Building Maintenance Company of Monterey
Park for its Christmas party on December 5, 1992, from 8:30
p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
SECTION 2. The sale and consumption of beer and wine is hereby approved
for this event.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
