RESOLUTION NO. �8882_ - A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS FOR PROJECTS TO BE
FUNDED UNDER PROPOSITION 'C' AND THE
ISTEA PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEARS 1992-1993
AND 1993-1994.
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina recognizes that it is in the interest of the
County of Los Angeles and all surrounding cities to promote the efficient use of
transportation funding resources; and
WHEREAS, the County Prop 'C' and the new Federal Transportation Program
(Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 [[STEA]) will provide benefits to
the local community in the form of improved transportation options; and
WHEREAS, funds have been established and are available through the Federal
and County program for efficient transportation projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City of West Covina authorizes the submittal of the
applications to the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission for the use of Prop 'C'
and ISTEA funds and hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute in the name of the City
all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements to implement and carry out the purposes
specified in this Resolution.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
