A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 5682 RELATING TO MEETING TIMES
AND PLACES OF CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5682, adopted in 1978, specifies that
all Boards and Commissions meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
• Chambers, they may adjourn to the conference rooms in City Hall,
and they may meet outside City Hall if permission is obtained in
advance from the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission's duties, among others, is to
hear and decide various development and use applications, most of
which involve receiving public testimony; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Planning Commission to allow
the public to participate in the matters pertaining to the
Commission; and
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1992, the Planning Commission unanimously
voted to recommend to the City Council that it approve a
modification of the meeting time from 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to
allow adequate time for interested persons to participate in
meetings, especially those with a large number of agenda items.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of West Covina does amend Resolution No. 5682 by the following
addition:
SECTION 1. The regular meetings of the Planning Commission
shall commence at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at West
Covina Hall, commencing the first regular meeting of August, 1992.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
