RESOLUTION NO. 8825
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED
UNDER SB-821 AND RECONFIRMING TIIE ADOPTION
OF ITS BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PLANS.
WHEREAS, SB-821 provides that two percent of each County's total
Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of bicycle and
pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has planned a sidewalk system in
conformance with specifications of the.California Traffic Manual; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina desires to construct the master sidewalk
system within their City utilizing the funds available under SB-821.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina, does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The Citywide Safe Route to School Plan adopted in
conformance with the specifications of the California Traffic Manual is reconfirmed.
SECTION 2. Harry W. Thomas, James W. Guff, and David L. Nelson are
the City's authorized signatories and designated contact people.

SECTION 3. All funds available for allocation to the City of West Covina for
bikeways and pedestrian facilities pursuant to SB-821 shall be requested.

SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
