A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 8610, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO MANAGEMENT AND
CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES; AND RESOLUTION NO. 7223, AS
AMENDED RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION
OF POSITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Management salary ranges are revised
periodically by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has a need to provide
competitive management salaries to allow recruitment and retention of
highly qualified personnel; and
WHEREAS, the City has concluded a nationwide search for a
Fire Chief for the City of West Covina; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager for the City of West Covina
recommends adjustment of the salary range for Fire Chief to facilitate
the recruitment process; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That Appendix "A" of Resolution No. 8610, as
amended, relating to Management and Confidential salaries, is hereby
amended to reflect the salary range of $5556 - 7501 for the
classification of Fire Chief, effective June 1, 1992.
SECTION 2. The remaining provisions of Resolution No. 8610
and Resolution 7223 as amended shall remain in full force and effect
until amended or appealed by resolution of the City Council.
SECTION 3. The effective date of this Resolution is June 1,
1992.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
