A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM OF EASEMENT IN FAVOR
OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby find and
determine that the public convenience and necessity require that a Quitclaim of Easement be executed in
favor of Los Angeles County Flood Control District for storm drain purposes over certain City -owned
property as described in the attached Exhibit "A" and by reference hereto made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to execute
in the name of the City of West Covina a Quitclaim of Easement, quitclaiming all right, title and
interest of the City of West Covina to Los Angeles County Flood Control District for storm drain
purposes, and cause said Quitclaim of Easement to be filed for record in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

MERSET DRAIN - PARCELS NOS. 1A AND 2A - QUITCLAIM OF EASEMENT DOCUMENT
Enclosed are the original and two duplicate copies of the Quitclaim of Easement
document in which the City of West Covina is transferring to the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District rights to that certain drainage easement dedicated
to the City by tract map filed on March 16, 1955, within the subject Parcels
Nos. 1A and 2A, as shown in color on the enclosed map.
Upon the City's review and approval, please have the original and one duplicate
of the Quitclaim of Easement document executed by the City's authorized
representative, along with proper acknowledgment, return the original.and one
duplicate copy, together with a copy of the Resolution authorizing said
execution, in the enclosed stamped, self-addressed envelope, and retain one
duplicate for your records.
Upon our receipt of the executed documents, we will submit them for approval,
acceptance, and recording. Your Department will be provided with the recording
data as soon as it becomes available.

For a valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
CITY OF WEST COVINA, a municipal corporation, does hereby remise, release, and
forever quitclaim to LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, a body corporate
and politic, all its right, title, and interest in and to that certain
easement for drainage purposes, as dedicated on the Map of Tract No. 19453,
filed on March 16, 1955, in Book 551, pages 19 to 22, inclusive, of Maps, in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, in, on, over and across the
real property in the City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, on April 7 , 19_32_, the CITY OF WEST COVINA,
a municipal corporation, has caused this Quitclaim of Easement to be executed by
its duly authorized officer pursuant to a resolution adopted by its City Council.
