Resolution - 8799RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THAT: a) THE FEE FOR POLICE REPORTS BE AMENDED; AND b) THE SCHEDULE BE ADJUSTED ANNUALLY OR AS NEEDED BASED ON THE ACTUAL COST OF THE FUNCTION. • WHEREAS, Government Code Section 54990 states that the City may charge fees for services as long as such fees do not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the service, and WHEREAS, the fee for a police report has not been changed for over 15 years, and WHEREAS, eight ($8) dollars is the City's cost for processing a police report, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina, does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Effective April 1, 1992, the established fee for police reports is $8. SECTION 2. That the fee imposed by Section 1, hereof shall be increased or decreased annually as of July 1 of each calendar year beginning July 1, 1993, if deemed necessary based on the actual cost of the function. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
