Resolution - 8789RESOLUTION NO. 8789 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS _'AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF APRIL 14, 1992 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, April 14, 1992 • has been called by Resolution No. 8754 adopted.:on November 25, 1991: NOW,.THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding the General Municipal Election, there is established 30 voting precincts consisting of consolidations of the eighty regular precincts in the City established for the holding of state and county eleections. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places designated; and that the persons named, being competent and voters of the City are appointed precinct board members for their respective voting pre- cincts and they shall conduct the election in the manner provided by law. That the compensation of the persons named as precinct board members, is fixed at the sum of $45 for each Inspector and $35 for each Clerk; $5 for each board member who attends the City's training class; $25 for polling place rental; and when required, the compensation of the custodian of a building shall be $12.50 for the election.
