A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 8610, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO MANAGEMENT AND
CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES; AND RESOLUTION NO. 7223,
AS AMENDED, RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND
COMPENSATION OF POSITIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has provided salary and
benefit adjustments to employees of the General Employees' Association;
and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has considered appropriate
salary adjustments for Confidential employees; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has determined the need for
uniform adjustments to health and dental benefits; and
WHEREAS, annual salary adjustments for the Confidential
employees, according to Resolution No. 6482, have been granted as in
the General employees representative unit; and
WHEREAS, annual benefit adjustments for the Management and
Confidential employees have been granted as in the General employees
representative unit; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That Appendix "A" of Resolution No. 8610, as
amended, relating to Confidential salaries, is hereby amended by
Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, effective January 1, 1992.
SECTION 2. Effective July 1, 1992, the City will contribute
$429 per month to a flexible benefit program for all Management and
Confidential employees to offset the employee cost of health and dental
insurance.
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby appropriate an
amount of money sufficient to fund these salary and benefit adjustments
for the life of this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The remaining provisions of Resolution No. 8610
and Resolution 7223 as amended shall remain in full force and effect
until amended or appealed by resolution of the City Council.
SECTION 5. The effective date of this Resolution is
January 1, 1992.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
