A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF OPEN SPACE LOT WHICH
HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED BY RELOCATION. (WALKWAY,
PER TRACT 31147)
WHEREAS, a walkway has been constructed within a portion of an open space that is not
necessary for its original purposes; and
WHEREAS, the general welfare, safety and convenience of the City of West Covina and
adjacent property owners require vacation of said open space; and
WHEREAS, access to the remaining portion of open space is being provided to the north
from Delia Place.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 1930 to 1934 inclusive, of the Streets and Highways
Code, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby finds and determines that the
following described open space has been superseded by relocation:
That portion of Lot 35 of Tract No. 31147 in the City of West Covina, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, as shown on a map filed in Book 863, Pages 62 through 64,
inclusive, of Map Books in the office of the County Recorder of said County described as
follows:
BEGINNING AT THE MOST EASTERLY CORNER OF SAID
LOT; THEN N.30° 03' 06" W.263.28 FEET ALONG THE
NORTHEASTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT TO AN ANGLE POINT
THEREIN; THENCE, LEAVING SAID NORTHEASTERLY
LINE, S.810 05' 32" W.42.89 FEET TO AN ANGLE POINT IN
THE SOUTHWESTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT, SAID
SOUTHWESTERLY LINE BEING ALSO THE
NORTHEASTERLY LINE OF LOT 1 OF SAID TRACT;
THENCE, S.300 03' 06" E.278.75 FEET ALONG SAID
SOUTHWESTERLY LINE TO THE NORTHWESTERLY LINE
OF WOODGATE DRIVE; (60 FEET WIDE) THENCE, N.59156'
54" E.40.00 FEET ALONG SAID LINE OF WOODGATE DRIVE
TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. That certain open space described in Section 1, hereof, is hereby
summarily vacated.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall
cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder, of said
County.
