A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN
PORTION OF GEMINI STREET
• The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina does
hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 11 day of June, 1979, at a regular meeting
of said Council, Resolution No. 5927 was duly adopted by a vote of
said Council setting the time for hearing on the proposed vacation
of a certain portion of Gemini Strebt.located within the City of West
Covina:
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of Gemini Street, 60.00 feet wide in the
City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as shown on Tract Map No. 28406 per map
recorded in Book 866 Pages 21, 22, 23 and 24 of maps
on file in the office of the County Recorder of said
County, bounded as follows:
Bounded westerly by a line that is parallel with and
60.00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from
the westerly boundary line of said Tract 28406 and its
• southerly prolongation; bounded easterly by the follow-
ing described line: Beginning at the southeasterly
corner of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map No..7401 per map
recorded in Book 74 Pages 443 and 44 of Parcel Maps of
official records of said county, said corner being on
a curve concave northeasterly -and havinga radius of
45.00 feet, a radial line to said corner bears north
75051'22" west; thence southerly and southeasterly,
along said curve through.a center angle of-115000'00"
and an arc length of 90.32 feet to a radial line that
bears south 10 51'22" east; thence southerly, along last
mentioned radial line, to the southerly line of said
Gemini Street.
RESERVING AND EXCEPTING ALSO from said vacation the
permanent easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, and renew sanitary sewers, and appurtenant
structures thereof and to construct, maintain operate,
replace, remove, renew, and enlarge lines -of pipe, con-
duits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of
gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for
the transportation or distribution of electric energy
and water lines, including access and the right to keep the
• property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth,
and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon,
and over the street or part thereof proposed to be vacated.
(c) That on the,
9th day of July, .1979, at a regular
Council Meeting, the.said City Council did hold a public•hearing
to determine whether the said area above -described should be
vacated as a publicstreet.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and declared
by the City Council of the City of West Covina, after hearing the
evidence adduced, that'.the above -described portions Within the City
of West Covina is not necessary for -present or.prospective public
street purposes and the general welfare and convenience of the City
of West Covina requirethat the same be vacated. The said portions
above -described -hereby are vacated as.public•streets.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
he adoption of
this resolution and cause the same to be recorded with the Office of
the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and to file all other
necessary documents in:order that this vacation become effective.
