• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE.CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS
TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY PURSUANT
TO SECTION 35150 (f) OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE
(AZUSA/FRANCISQUITO ISLAND ANNEXATION).
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as.
f ollows-:
SECTION I. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings
for the annexation of certain uninhabited territory to the city of
West Covina pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act, Part 2,
Division 2, of Title 4 of the Government Code.
SECTION 2. The proposed change of organization initiated
by this resolution consists of one Island Annexation as allowed by
Section 35150:,(f) of the Government Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. The territory to be annexed.is substantially sur-
rounded by the.city.of West Covina and in the unincorporated area of
the County of L'os Angeles in accordance with procedures set forth in
Section 35150 (f) of the Government.Code and is specifically des-
cribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incor-
porated herein. -
is SECTION 4. This proposed reorganization will allow for a
more effective and efficient delivery of government services to the
residents and is consistent witli the Legislative findings and
declarations set forth in the introductory prevision of the Municipal
Organizational Act of 19.77.
SECTION 5. The City Council hereby adopts a plan for services
to be provided to the territory to be annexed as required by Section
35102 of the Government Code which is specifically described in
Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by this reference -incorporated herein.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptior of
this resolution.
