A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUN CI L OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ALLOCATING
ITS ENTITLEMENT UNDER THE LITTER CONTROL, RE-
CYCLING AND RESOURCE RECOVERY ACT OF 1977 TO
THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO CARRY OUT A SINGLE
COORDINATED COUNTY -WIDE LITTER CLEAN-UP PROGRAM
FOR THE WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is entitled to funding for litter control programs
as stipulated in the Litter Control, Recycling and Resource Recovery Act of 1977, and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is provided with the ability to allocate its en-
titlement to the County of Los Angeles; to carry out a single coordinated county -wide litter
clean-up and enforcement program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY CO UNCILof the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1 . The City allocates its entitlement under the Litter Control, Recycling
and Resource Recovery Act of 197.7 to the County of Los Angeles, to carry out a single co-
ordinated county -wide litter clean-up and enforcement program for the welfare of the
residents of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 2., The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
