RESOLUTION NO.5919
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA DIRECTING THE
WEST COVINA PLANNING C014MISSION TO SELECT
AMENDED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA BOUNDARIES
WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA NO. 1 .
AS FURTHER AMENDED AND REDESIGNATED AND TO
FORMULATE AN A14ENDED PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE
REDEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT AREA AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33310 of. the California
Health and Safety Code, the City Council, on May 14 ,
1979, by Resolution No.5918, further amended and redesignated
Redevelopment Survey Area No. 1 for study purposes to determine
if a redevelopment project within such area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, the West Covina
completed preliminary studies
No. 1, as further amended and
conclude that commencement of

WHEREAS, Section 33322 of the California Health and Safety
Code provides that if directed by the City Council, the City
Planning Commission shall select an amended Redevelopment
Project Area comprised of all or part of Redevelopment Survey
Area No. 1, as further amended and redesignated; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that an amended rede-
velopment project within Redevelopment Survey Area No. 1, as
further amended and redesignated, is in the best interests. of
the City of West Covina and should be initiated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby directs the City Planning
Commission, in cooperation with the West Covina Redevelopment
Agency, to select an amended Redevelopment Project Area com-
prised of all or part of Redevelopment Survey Area No. 1, as
further amended and redesignated, as shown on the map attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference..
2. The City Council further directs the City Planning
Commission, in cooperation withe West Covina Redevelopment
Agency, to formulate an amended preliminary plan for the rede-
velopment of the selected Redevelopment Project Area as amended,
and to submit said amended preliminary plan to the West Covina
Redevelopment Agency for the preparation of an amended Rede-
velopment Plan and Supplemental Environmental Impact.Report
for the selected Redevelopment Project Area, as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that.the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this resolution.
